All About Me

Profile Picture

I’m Jill and I’m a primary school teacher with a love of crafts, a passion for reading, an obsession for organisation and a desire to improve my lovely home. I am new to blogging but hope to be able to collate my thoughts, ideas and projects all in one place. Bear with me as I try to get to grips with what my blog will look like and what I want to write about!

I live in rural Scotland with my husband, Mr B, and our three cats. We bought our very first home last year and although we love our house, we want to make it our dream home so I’m full of great ideas about how we can make it special. Unfortunately Mrs B is not the practical-type and all DIY falls to me. That said, I’m a joiner’s daughter and I am confident that I could turn my hand to almost anything!

I have a dream of one day having my very own craft room where I will be able to make and design things all day long, but until that dream becomes a reality I will have to make do with a kitchen table and the odd spare moment of time in between work and all the other things that inevitably absorb all my time! I am definitely a Pinterest addict and I drive Mr B mad with the increasing number of boxes of craft things!

I am a nursery teacher in a large primary school and I absolutely LOVE my job. Every day is amazing because I get to spend it with 90 of the cutest, funniest, smartest 3 and 4 year olds in the world! I had a a break from teaching for nearly two years and learned a whole lot but now I’m back doing what I do best and can’t wait to maybe share my ideas and chat to some like minded teachers out there! Please feel free to stop and say hi!

  1. Welcome to blogging! I came to your blog because you kindly left a “like” on mine. We have a lot in common, although I am slightly older than you 🙂 I just wanted to tell you that blogging have brought me so much joy and it has encouraged my creative side. I have done so many projects since I started a year ago and I have been so much more creative which I love. Hope it does the same for you!

    • Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I am really enjoying blogging so far – I guess I’m still figuring out exactly what my style is and what my content will be but I’m having a great time sharing my projects and ideas.I hope that I will still feel as enthusiastic and inspired as you clearly do when I reach the one-year mark! xxx
